Primitive Camping in the Lagoon
There is so much for someone who appreciates the outdoors to do in and around the Mosquito Lagoon, camping is a great way to experience the great ecosystem.
The only primitive camping in the area is on the Islands of Canaveral National Seashore. Their contact info is (321) 267-1110.
Canaveral National Seashore Island Camping
Camping in Mosquito Lagoon is a great way to explore the area.
Oak Hill Fish Camp is located right at the end of the arrow for Le Fils Fish Camp. We are part of what Le Fils used to be. We have 2 sites for those camping on the islands for secure parking and short Canoe or Kayak ride to the campsites. Sites 7 to 11 are within an easy distance from the fish camp. The campsites are managed by the Canaveral National Seashore.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
In the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge there are special rules you must follow.
You must possess a current signed Refuge Sports Fishing Permit at all times while fishing on the Refuge. The permit is self-issuing and assures you have read and understand Merritt Island NWR’s fishing regulations.
Pole and Troll Zones
To improve fishing and protect grass flats, two Pole & Troll Zones have been established in Mosquito Lagoon. (See Map) The zones are delineated with buoys. Within the zones, internal combustion engines must be shut off (except in posted channels) and vessels drafting more than 12 inches at rest must not enter. Vessels may be propelled by a non-motorized power source such as drifting, push poles, paddles, etc. Electric trolling may be used through the zones. Boats may operate internal combustion engines only in the posted channels within the Pole and Troll Zones.
